As part of the Field Admin Team, I helped to execute a superintendent‑directed transition requiring all departments with materials housed in Microsoft SharePoint to migrate their content to Canvas. Anticipating the scale and complexity of this mandate, our team proactively designed, developed, and standardized a comprehensive migration resource to guide departments through the shift and establish clear expectations for course structure, content organization, and long‑term maintenance.
Beyond creating the resource, we partnered with departments across the district to provide hands‑on migration support. By request, we conducted working sessions, facilitated content transfers, and co‑built Canvas course structures, often spending hours with individual teams to ensure accuracy, alignment, and usability.
Our efforts accelerated adoption, reduced operational friction, and strengthened districtwide consistency as departments transitioned to Canvas as the unified platform for communication and resource management.
The course is broken down into smaller steps to help departments navigate through the process.
