Jaclyn M. Sherman
Jaclyn Sherman is a project manager and instructional designer with more than twenty years in education with Broward County Public Schools, one of the largest school districts in the United States. In her most recent role as Project Manager of Technology and Instruction, she leads district-wide initiatives across 240 schools, manages vendor contracts, coordinates professional learning programs reaching hundreds of educators, and serves as a Canvas LMS administrator supporting more than 200,000 users.
Her work sits at the intersection of instructional design, project management, and technology integration. She leads a team of Instructional Technology Facilitators, manages technology programs, and has developed coursework offered across the entire district. She brings a unique perspective to every project, having worked as a classroom teacher, an instructional technology facilitator, and currently as a district-level leader.
Artificial intelligence is an area where Jaclyn has developed deep expertise and continues to learn. She has led AI training initiatives, developed AI literacy curriculum, and managed vendor relationships for AI tools adopted across the district. She served as the lead on coordinating one of the department's newest AI platform contracts, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple departments to bring the agreement through the district's full review and approval process. Her approach to AI is grounded in the belief that responsible and ethical AI use starts with genuine literacy. Educators and learners need to understand these tools before they can use them well, and that foundation is what makes implementation meaningful.
Jaclyn is conscientious and detail oriented. Her colleagues call her Eagle Eye because she is attentive to detail, able to spot areas for improvement, and committed to making sure every deliverable meets a high standard. She builds strong relationships across departments and with vendors, meets her deadlines, and is always willing to lend a hand.
She believes that technology, when thoughtfully implemented, can meaningfully improve learning for both students and educators. That belief has driven her work for years, and it is what draws her toward opportunities where she can make an even larger impact.
