My work in Broward County Public Schools focused on building structures, workflows, and technology environments that supported high‑quality instruction, efficient operations, and long‑term sustainability across 240 schools.
I oversaw the implementation and optimization of instructional technology, including Canvas, the district Learning Management System, digital applications, and AI‑enabled tools. I evaluated platform performance, monitored usage trends, and collaborated with vendors to ensure we aligned with instructional goals and provided a consistent, high‑quality user experience. I also reviewed product updates, analytics, and return‑on‑investment data to guide decision making and strengthen tool adoption.
My leadership required close coordination with the departments in the Academics division, as well as Legal, Procurement, and school‑based teams. I ensured that digital tools were integrated responsibly and securely and that implementation supported teaching and learning and aligned to the district's Strategic Plan. I contributed to the district’s AI strategy through the BCPS AI Task Force and AI Liaison program, helping build capacity for responsible and innovative AI adoption.
I strengthened system reliability by supporting integrations and resolving issues that affected large groups of users. I communicated any system changes clearly and ensured that educators and administrators had the guidance needed to navigate new tools and updates. I also created structures that improved consistency across platforms, including standardized templates, documentation, and processes that supported instructional quality and operational efficiency.
I focus on building digital environments that are intuitive, stable, and future ready, ensuring that technology leads to instructional improvement. Through this work, I helped the district maintain a strong, scalable foundation for digital learning and AI‑enabled innovation.
