In June 2025, our department expanded our Professional Learning Blueprint to incorporate artificial intelligence. This required updating the department's blueprint to include AI coursework and ensuring that all new and existing courses aligned with the revised structure.
My team and I conducted a full review of all of our departmental courses, realigning each one to the updated components. We completed the full alignment process within two weeks so that the AI coursework could be integrated seamlessly into the new blueprint and ultimately into the district’s professional learning system.
The blueprint ensured that all professional learning aligned with district priorities, reflected adult learning principles, and supported the long-term adoption of digital tools.
I created the core components that guided every training experience, including needs assessment, content design, facilitation planning, implementation support, and evaluation. Each component ensured clarity for facilitators and kept all professional learning purposeful, actionable, and connected to classroom practice.
Because the blueprint required Board approval, the work had to be completed within a defined timeline. This required careful coordination, clear documentation, and consistent communication with district leadership to keep the project on track.
I collaborated with cross departmental partners to ensure that the blueprint supported curriculum goals, technology requirements, and districtwide initiatives. I also coached the Instructional Technology Facilitators and content creators to design sessions that met blueprint expectations and maintained consistency across all schools.
Through this work, I established a unified professional learning system that strengthened educator capacity, improved instructional quality, and supported sustainable technology integration across the district.
