I led the design framework for the district’s T.I.E.S. Expo course series by creating the standardized course template used by my team of Instructional Technology Facilitators. Using that template, the team developed three differentiated professional learning experiences:
Tech Tykes: a K–5 course focused on foundational classroom technology integration
Tech Teens: a Grade 6–8 course centered on emerging digital skills and instructional tools
Tech Talks: a Grades 9–12 course designed to support advanced, subject‑specific technology use
Each course was tailored to the needs and instructional contexts of its intended audience, ensuring relevance and strong educator engagement.
The T.I.E.S. Expo is the district wide conference that the Department of Innovative Learning organizes every year. The inaugural 2024 event welcomed more than 300 participants, and the 2025 conference expanded to over 500 educators and administrators. The Expo features leadership panels, breakout sessions, vendor showcases, and hands‑on learning experiences with global technology partners including Microsoft, Google, and Apple.
